Funeral and Memorial Services
All too often, families discount the value of ceremony after the death of a loved one, and we certainly don’t want you to make that mistake. Coming together after a loss is a very essential part of the grieving process.
Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel offers many different services. Our experience has prepared us to help, to reassure, and to understand when a family faces the loss of a loved one. We are here to replace confusion with calm, doubts with certainty, and questions with answers. Here, one finds a quiet gentleness in an atmosphere of dignity, efficiency and trust. We believe your service choice is a personal decision. At Salser & Dillard we explain the options available, then allow you to make your own decisions.
Create Healing Experiences
In the depth of early grief, you might think that it would be ‘easier’ to just take care of things as simply and as quickly as possible. But easier – especially in this circumstance – simply isn’t better. You must set the stage for the future by giving your family and friends the opportunity to start the healing process.
Every family is different, and not everyone wants the same type of funeral. Funeral practices are influenced by religious and cultural traditions, costs and personal preferences. These factors help determine whether the funeral will be elaborate or simple, public or private, religious or secular, and where it will be held. They also influence whether the body will be present at the funeral, if there will be a viewing or visitation, and if so, whether the casket will be open or closed, and whether the remains will be buried or cremated. Among the choices you’ll need to make is whether you want one of these basic types of funerals, or something in between.
Limited Graveside Service
Designed for those who want a ground burial or interment of either a casket or an urn containing cremated remains with a service only at the cemetery. Itemized options may be selected at the family’s discretion.
The same as a traditional service, except the body is not present for the visitation or the funeral. Often considered by those selecting cremation, but it is not limited to those who prefer cremation. The private family viewing explained above also applies here.
With cremation services, we at Salser & Dillard believe you should be able to choose the type of service that you find most meaningful. That’s why our list of services includes many options. We have our own cremation facility and take great care with your loved one.
Traditional Ship-out Services
Allows you to select the type of services and merchandise for local arrangements and then the remains are shipped out of town for final services.
Limited Family Viewing with Shipment
Designed for those who want a private family viewing, but no other visitation prior to shipment of the casketed remains. Itemized options are also available to the family.
Direct Ship-out Services
When there will be no local service and the remains will ship to a funeral home out of town.
Direct Ship-in Services
For those who want remains shipped to Salser & Dillard for final services. Itemized options are available.
Non-Traditional Burial, Entombment or Cremation without visitation. For this type of funeral service, you select the services and merchandise from several itemized options. Private family viewings are available, but may be subject to time limitations. Ask our staff about setting up a private viewing for your family.
You Can Never Go Back and Do it Over
Some say it’s harsh to remind you of this, but we know we must. We want you to honor your loved one in a way that allows you to look back, years from now, and be thankful that you did the best you could to honor their life. Creating a ceremony that calls together the hearts and minds of all who loved them is a gift to everyone involved. A gift of memories, a gift of healing...a truly priceless gift of peace-of-mind.
