Wanda Sue Pace

Wanda Sue Pace died how she lived - on her terms. Wanda passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of March 7th before any company could arrive, with her only child by her side. She was known as: a woman who loved without limits, the life of the party, and was a friend to all. Born June 27, 1956; she was the eldest daughter to Ernest and Shirley Pace, and older sister to Rex Pace. Throughout her life she would proclaim she had the best parents and childhood. Forever the choir girl, Wanda loved to sing from when she was little in church, to traveling with the Dormets in Bible College, to her daughter and grandson while cradling them as infants. As they grew she would burst into song at any family event, often the songs sang were old commercial jingles or lullabies. Some of the family's most cherished memories are of her singing and playing the piano - which she had a natural ability. Outside of singing she had many other hobbies: traveling, shopping, spending time with family and friends. In the 90's being a savvy modern business woman she opened her own antique store. Despite her numerous hobbies and business ventures, she was internationally known as a fierce warrior and audacious leader in he favorite online game - Grepolis. If asked Wanda would say her greatest accomplishment was her family. As a mother she instilled the values of faith, family, education, hard-work and service to the community. In all things, Wanda loved to laugh which was another trait she passed on to the daughter, Kayla. In her final years she was able to watch Kayla graduate from law school and produce her own comedy shows. As a grandmother, she was fun-loving, imaginative, energetic, and childlike. She enjoyed playing race cars, swimming, and reading to her grandson and favorite little guy - Elijah. He was her pride and joy. As a wife, she was doting, affectionate, spirited and sweet. Wanda loved to brag on her husband - Doc. She would tell everyone how well he treated and took care of her. Together Doc and Wanda built a wonderful life for themselves based on admiration and love. They were able to celebrate 10 years together last Fall. While there is pain, there is joy for a life well lived and hope to be reunited. In Wanda's final hours she told her daughter, "I have God on my side." She is now singing with the angels.
