Wady Al Khal

Wady Khal passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after an unexpected fall at his home in Lindsay, California. He was the cherished son of Josephine and Abraham Al-Khal, who preceded him in their eternal home. Wady was a beloved brother to his ten siblings: Ronald Al-Khal, Elsie Doumith, the late Nadia Al-Khal, the late Gisele Al-Khal, Jacques Khal, Andre Khal, Claudette Sfarty, Daniel Khal, the late Sylvie Al-Khal Armaly, and Evelyne Al-Khal Vivies. A devoted husband, Wady shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Buthaina Khal. He was a loving and adored father to Lucas Khal, Sylvie Khal, and Naya Khal, who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He was also a cherished brother-in-law to all his in-laws, especially to those who had the privilege of living close to him; Isabelle Khal, Shelly Khal, and Carla Khal- as well as to those in neighboring Nevada, including Roudaina and Christian Azar, Houssam and Nilanie Fares, along with Mimo and Laura Fares and Khoula and Francis Hadeed in Antigua. As well as Philippe Sfarty in Paris, Abe AIKhal and the late Nazim Doumith. Wady was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Fabienne Azar, David Doumith (Guadeloupe), Joseph Kahl, James kahl, Elaine Atiyeh, Charles Al-Khal, Erika Al-Khal, Steven Elkhal, Gary Elkhal, Omar Elkhal, Jacqueline Khal, Michael Khal, Eddie Khal, Michelle Khal, Brigitte Khal, Noah Khal, Francois Sfarty, Olivia Sfarty, Christopher Khal, David Khal, Brian Khal, Kate Bourne, Marybeth Bourne, Giovanni Azar Brandon Azar, Jeffry Azar, and Samuel Vivies and so many more that character limits won't allow. He was deeply loved by his great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless cousins and friends around the world. Wady was a shining light to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was marked by love, compassion, kindness, and courage. Born on the beautiful French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, Wady moved to the United States in his teenage years. He studied architecture in Livonia and Dearborn, Michigan, and became a U.S. citizen thanks to the sacrifices of his father, Abraham Al-Khal, who fought in World War Il as a soldier in the U.S. Army after serving in the French Army following the fall of the French government. Wady eventually settled in sunny Lindsay, California, where he owned and operated a construction company, leaving a lasting impact on his community. Although Wady's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may we honor his legacy by carrying forward his love, kindness, and generosity in our own lives. In the words of his daughter Sylvie, "He is drawing up plans to remodel heaven as we speak." The family will receive friends and relatives at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, located at 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, California, on Wednesday, February 19th. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by burial at 2:00 p.m. at the Visalia Cemetery Mausoleum.
