Stanley Douglas Livingston

The best husband, father, grandfather-kind, gentle, talented, friend to everyone-all descriptions of Stanley D. Livingston. He worked tirelessly on projects for his family whether it was cutting out a giant pumpkin for granddaughter Taylor, or fixing daughter Alicia's first car. Any project his wife of 31 years, Janet, could even imagine, Stan could create it. In every circumstance life could throw at him, he tackled the solution in a thoughtful, intelligent manner, and most likely, making the project better than was expected. Some people know Stan as Randall Manufacturing sending self-propelled spray rigs to countless farms and ranches. Some know him from Rotary, Lions Club, and from his real estate sales. A favorite memory is of Stan riding in a bright orange Rubicon Jeep as the Grand Marshall of the Woodlake Rodeo. Some remember him from the morning/afternoon coffee group at various restaurants in Woodlake, talking and swapping stories with all the "good old boys"- and there were many entertaining stories, for sure. One of the stories he liked to share was about the letter he received from the Army. After his two-year service, he came home and thought the monthly meetings for servicemen was just a "suggestion." Apparently, it was required, so off he went to Washington to serve another year in the Army!! There are stories of flying planes, water skiing, town basketball teams, and-oh yes-a favorite: Stan riding standing on the handlebars of his motorcycle around the curves in Elderwood. He insisted that he was just standing on the seat-though that seems reckless enough!! Stan was greatly proud of his two sons, Ron Livingston and Imrie Livingston and would do anything for daughter Alicia Parnell, and his granddaughter Taylor Brill. He loved Ron's children Austin, Cale, and Quinn immensely and often talked of their accomplishments, including Austin and Angela's three adorable children. Stan's move to Visalia provided a new group of friends which oddly enough, overlapped with his old friends from his golfing days and a variety of people who moved to Visalia from Elderwood and Woodlake. Many of these friends attended church with him and provided a huge amount of support for his family as he quietly sat and listened, enjoying the soft laughter and conversation flowing around him. Stan has loved greatly and will always be loved-forever. Celebration of Life on November 4, 2022 at 2:30pm at Runway Cafe located at the Woodlake Airport.
