Socorro Castro, 65, of Visalia, California, passed away April 26th, 2018, in Visalia, California. Socorro was born to Jose Carmen Chavez and Felicitas Llamas Chavez on October 10th,1952, in Jalisco, Mexico. She married Alfred Castro on June 10th 1972. Socorro was a beautician by trade for over 26 years owning her own business "Soco's Beauty Salon". She was an entrepreneur who loved to learn about new ways to reinvent herself to succeed as a business woman. She always wanted to provide the very best for her family. She loved her family very much. She also loved to serve the Lord and devoted much of her time to prayer, adoration and stewardship by giving back to others. She instilled the importance of faith and God's love to all those who surrounded her. She was very charismatic and had a very special way of speaking to people in a way that touch and moved them. She was able to positively impact many people over the years. She also loved to live life to its fullest. She was a dreamer and made her dreams come true. She loved traveling and had the chance to go to beautiful places most only dream about such as the Holy Lands, Hawaii, Europe, Mexico. Socorro is survived by her daughter, Dolores Castro and three sons: Albert Castro, Alex Castro and Alan Castro (Gabrel); her mother, Felecitas Chavez; her three brothers: Eddie Chavez, Gus Chavez and Jerry Chavez; six sisters:Ana Maria Flores, Carmen Madrigal, Susanna Magallanes, Rosalina Banuelos, Lisa Afonso, Jackie Servin. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Andrew, Caitlin, Jacob, Korina, Albert Jr, Alexis and Bria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Castro, father, Jose Chavez, two brothers Porfirio Chavez and Manuel Chavez and her grandson, Aaron Cortez. Socorro will truly be missed by all. Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 4pm with the Rosary to be prayed at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Noon, Friday, May 4th, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1908 N. Court St., Visalia, continuing on to Visalia District Cemetery for internment.
