Sharon Lee Acedo

Sharon Lee Acedo (nee Faulkner), 80, of Visalia, California passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 with her loving daughter by her side. Although she had persisted through many health challenges in the last several years, Sharon, beloved Mom and Grandmama, was taken from us unexpectedly and far too soon. Sharon was born in Aldrich, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar and Mary Lee Faulkner (nee Pollard). She graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 1962 and went on to become a star of the hospitality industry, fondly remembered and appreciated by her customers throughout Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, and various restaurants in Porterville and Visalia. She loved to waitress, as it gave her insight and access to a wide variety of people, who she enjoyed getting to know. Sharon was a social butterfly with communities of people in lots of areas of her life. She loved gardening, connecting with people in the community, going to estate sales and collecting antiques, and especially loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. Early in her life, Sharon worked alongside her father, affectionately known as "Papa," harvesting and hauling olive trees and working the family farm orange grove. An independent and fierce lady, Sharon was never one to back down from a challenge, whether it be learning a new skill, how to take care of newborn kittens, or rescuing an animal from the side of the road. Sharon was an avid animal lover, having raised poodles and Persian cats and being committed to finding every animal a good home where they would be loved fur-ever. Remaining to cherish Sharon's memory is her beloved daughter, Megan (Daniel); adored granddaughter, Naomi; her sweet dogs, Madi and Greta, and cat, Baby; and many friends in lots of different communities. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother. Celebration of Life will take place at 4:30pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA with The Rev. Lance Allen officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation beginning at 3:30pm. In recognition of Sharon's love of gardening and the beautiful colors of the natural world, the family asks that you wear colors other than black or dark colors to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sharon to Hands in the Community or the Valley Oak SPCA. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
