Robert Leroy Montoya

Robert Leroy Montoya age 78 of Tulare, California, passed away on October 29, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Robert was born on Saturday the 11th day of March 1944 to Dora Sena in Visalia, California. He came from humble beginnings and from an early age he grew into a very hardworking man. Working various jobs but he really loved selling, listening and singing to music, talking and learning from others at the remates. One thing for sure he would do anything necessary to provide for his family. Although at times he could be strict, he always went above and beyond for his children and grandchildren who were his pride and joy, and made sure they had nothing but the best. Those that knew him well also knew his beautiful heart. He was a great comforter and friend, always gave the best advice because he always had your best interest at heart. He could be firm and straight forward, and although we hated to admit it, most of the time he was right. But always showed love. Robert enjoyed fishing, singing and playing his guitar, watching the fights and football, any time to gather with his favorite people. Once he learned how to use technology he loved watching his favorite westerns, Sunday sermons, and FaceTiming his family on his iPad, which he made sure to carry everywhere just in case he needed to Google anything. Although he is has gone home with the Lord, he will forever be missed and in our hearts. Robert was predeceased by his mother Dora Sena, his son Anthony N. Montoya, his brother Ernie Montoya and sisters Rita Montoya and Molly Montoya. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Vasquez (husband Robert) daughter, Christina Lujan (husband, James) son,Adrian Montoya ( wife, Crystal) son Robert Montoya, daughter Kim Montoya, daughter, Norma Seible (husband, Tim) daughter, Rosa Rodriguez, son, Arnold Martinez ( wife, Anita) His 22 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Prayer Service will follow from 11 AM - 1 PM.
