In Loving Memory of Ovidio Hinojosa Salinas May 6, 1941 - June 29, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ovidio Hinojosa Salinas, who was born on May 6, 1941, in Trevino, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and entered eternal rest on June 29, 2026. Ovidio was the beloved son of Mucio Salinas and Sara Lucia H. Salinas. He was the fourth of seven siblings and a loving brother to Oscar Salinas, Rosa Garza, Petra Terran, and Dolly Montanez of Southern California. He was preceded in death by his brothers Arnold Salinas and Homero Salinas, as well as his son, Ovidio Salinas Jr. He shared 65 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Guillermina, building a life rooted in love, family, and devotion. Together they raised their children: Omar Salinas, Chayo Salinas, Maribel Garza, Gini Sedillo, Senaida Salinas Gonzales, and Homero Salinas, creating a family legacy that will continue for generations. Ovidio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless pride and happiness. He found joy in life's simple pleasures spending time with his wife Guillermina, taking trips to the casino, and enjoying family beach days. He loved being surrounded by family, laughing, making memories, and carrying on traditions that meant so much to everyone. His grandchildren will always remember how he never showed up empty-handed, always making sure to give them $5 every time he saw them, a small but unforgettable act of love that became one of his trademarks. Ovidio's love, strength, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is now free from pain and reunited with the loved ones who went before him. Forever in our hearts, always in our memories. Visitation will be held 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday, July 17th, 2026 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Service Of Remembrance services will follow at 12:00 PM.
