Norberta Acosta Marquez

It is with profound sadness that the family of Norberta Acosta Marquez announces her passing on early Saturday morning July 15, 2022 in her Visalia home. Born in Praxedis Gilberto Guerrero Chihuahua, Mexico on July 7, 1934 to Pedro and Hermenegilda Acosta from Chihuahua, Mexico. Nolbe will be lovingly remembered as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Nolbe reared her children and grandchildren from home and was a homemaker that brought rays of sunshine to the home along with love, comfort, safety, and unconditional love. Our mother was a radiant beauty who was a survivor in many ways. She taught her children and grandchildren to always do the right thing even though no one was looking. She taught us to be compassionate, humble, kind and instilled the meaning of sharing. She would always give us her blessings and taught us about God and Jesus and life after death. Nolbe enjoyed visiting her family and friends. She loved baking and sometimes would say, "I baked you a cake, but I think I goofed," the cake was delicious. She would make burritos to sell and she would be called "the burrito lady." She would also make her delicious tamales and they would also sell out. Mostly she loved reading her scriptures and learning about life after death. She prayed daily and wants all to know that she is still alive in spirit and has entered into the spiritual world. She wants us to pray for her peace and comfort. Mom would like to leave us with one of her many favorite scriptures John 3:7 of Do not marvel that I said to you, "you must be born again." Nolbe is survived by her daughters; Luz Marquez Mercado, Rio Rancho New Mexico, and Maria Marquez, Visalia Ca. grandchildren; Carlos Marquez Junior,III , Sacramento Ca., Alex Arrambide, San Diego, Ca., Elias Valdez III Visalia Ca., Sisters; Leonarda Acosta, Visalia Ca., Flora Sanchez, Los Angeles, Ca., Nolbe will be joining in heaven her beloved husband Carlos Villanueva Marquez, son Carlos Acosta Marquez Junior, her parents Pedro and Hermenegilda Acosta, sisters; Paulita Acosta, Nena Horcasitas, Petra Sanchez, and Rosie Acosta Eggleston, brothers; Hilario, Martin and Bernabe Acosta. Celebration of life in memory of Nolbe will be entrusted to Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dr. Arthur Escobedo from Praise Center Church, Visalia Calif. @ 127 E. Caldwell Ave. Visalia Calif. 93277. July 27, 2022 @ 11:00 am. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm @ the Visalia District Cemetery and then lunch @ The Prayer Center Church 503 N.
