Mary B Beaird

Mary Beaird passed away at her Visalia home on September 28, 2018. She was born in Pleasanton, Kansas on August 11, 1927 to parents James and Beulah Crisswell. As a young child in 1932 the family moved to California. Mary Belle Crisswell attended Farmersville School. She married James William Beaird on August 6, 1950 at Calvary Holiness Church in Farmersville. Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. Mary and James were known for being "Love Birds" during their 26 year marriage. Her family was completed with the addition of her son, Randal and daughter, DeLois. She loved being a wife and mother. She was gifted in cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and loving. She shared these gifts with family and friends. Her table presented delightful meals, often including baked bread. Her kitchen was filled with pies, cakes, cookies and waffles. Her gardens were filled with fruits, flowers, nuts, vegetables, bugs, butterflies, dirty little kids digging in the dirt and her dog, Rags. Her closets donned clothes made by her hand. She crocheted beautiful doilies, scarves, baby blankets and tablecloths. She did all of this because she loved. Mary enjoyed God's creation. She loved the ocean and the forest. Family vacations included road trips to Oregon and camping at the Pacific Ocean and Sequoia National Park. She enjoyed several trips to Missouri and Disneyland to spend time with her grandchildren. Together Mary and James were dedicated to The Lord's service. For many years they were members of The Farmersville Full Gospel Temple. Mary used her talents as Church Bookkeeper, Choir Member, Soloist and Prayer Warrior. She took care of the important jobs and the trivial jobs like keeping the birthday box filled so the children could choose a gift on their special day. She even tended the church lawn. The old song "Treasures on the Other Side" is true for her. "When she reached that City and the gates swung open wide, she found her treasures waiting on the other side". At the age of 91 she was reunited in Heaven with the love of her life James Beaird, parents James and Beulah Crisswell and siblings Betty Beaird, James Crisswell and Claude Crisswell. She leaves her family: her son and daughter-in-law, Randal and Robyn Beaird of Springfield, Missouri, daughter DeLois Rather of Visalia, California and her sister Esther Irons of Farmersville, California. Her grandchildren and spouses include: Cambria and Nick Crabtree, Joshua and Nicole Beaird, Jadan and Laura Rather, Nathena and James Pitman and Jennifer Orange. Her great grandchildren include: Beckham and Archer Crabtree, Lawson Beaird, Mason and Brayden Pitman and LeAnna Dudley. Great great grandchildren include Emma and Aiden Dudley. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5-7pm at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at Exeter District Cemetery at 10AM.
