Louie Paul Lombardi

Louie Paul Lombardi was born to Louie & Maria Lombardi on October 22, 1945, in Visalia, California. Louie spent his early childhood years with his siblings as they worked on the family farms. Upon the unexpected loss of his dad and graduating High School, he enlisted in the US Army. He was deployed to Germany where he survived being ran over by a "half-track" personnel carrier. After fulfilling his military enlistment, he returned to Visalia and began working with his brother-in-law on a cattle ranch. He ventured into other jobs as an equipment operator, truck driver, paving contractor and construction supervisor. His most remarkable career was with CDCR where he worked 28 years before retiring. Everyone knew him for his strong work ethics and his full lengthy beard. During his retirement, his work ethic continued as he went back to work for another company as equipment operator & truck driver. He eventually fully retired and spent time with family. Louie passed away on, August 6, 2024, after years of battling dementia. Louie was preceded in death by his parents Louie & Maria Lombardi; Sister Mary Bunker; Sister Carol Denny. Louie is survived by his Wife, Diana Lombardi, Brother, Joe Lombardi & Wife Barbara; Sister, Patricia Arenz & Husband Bob; Son, Louie "Butch" Lombardi; Stepson, Paul Marquez & Wife Debbie; Stepson, Peter Marquez & Wife Patty; Grandson Louie "Cody" Lombardi & Wife Amber; Great Grandson, Louie "Axel" Lombardi; Great Granddaughter, Libby "Libby Lou" Lombardi; Several Step Grandkids, Nieces, Great Nieces, Nephews, Great Nephews and extended family. Louie will be missed by several as he touched the hearts of so many people. Please bring your most joyful memories with you as we celebrate Louie. A life lived so happily deserves a happy remembrance. Come be a part of the celebration after the services are concluded. In lieu of flowers, please bring your favorite side dish or finger foods and we will be providing a main dish. Together, we can share our memories while having a nice meal celebrating Louie. Rosary will be held 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Celebration of Life will be held at Exeter Eagle's Lodge, 555 W. Visalia Rd., Exeter, CA 93221. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
