Linda Resa Lopez

Linda Resa Lopez of Visalia, California, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 76. Linda was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Angel Montoya, Andrea Montoya (Joe Melendez), Fonzie Montoya, Virginia Montoya, Paula Rodriguez (Jesus), Juanita Cabrera, Marcela Cabrera (Sonny Saechao), Manuel and Crystal Rodriguez. She was also a cherished grandmother to 18 beloved grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who brought endless light into her life. She is also survived by her siblings Juanita Rodriguez and Ray Lopez Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marcela Lopez, her ex-husband Julian Montoya, her son Julian Montoya Jr, and her grandsons Adrian Aguilar and Julian Montoya III. From a young age, Linda was strong and determined. Her father taught her how to drive at just 13 years old, a memory she always carried with pride. She worked alongside her father in the fields at Iskanderian Farms, where she became a supervisor and proudly ran her own crew. Over the years, Linda held many roles that reflected her work ethic and vibrant personality. She worked as a clerk at the Tulare County Courthouse, as a cook at Estrada's Italian Restaurant- where she shared her love of cooking with others, and at a local antique store. She later retired early after dedicating ten years as a teacher in the Child Development Preschool program at College of the Sequoias, where she nurtured and guided countless young children. Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the color purple, treasured her faithful dog, Bugsly, and often filled her home with music as she sang to her children when they were young. She enjoyed quiet afternoons working on crossword puzzles and cherished peaceful moments surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, humor, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family touched everyone who knew her. Linda's love was constant and unconditional, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and reassurance. The legacy she leaves behind is one of kindness, resilience, and deep family love. Linda will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and all whose lives she so beautifully enriched. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Homily of Prayers services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
