Jose Luis Menchaca

Jose "Louie" Menchaca passed away on June 11, 2022 peacefully with his family at his side. He was born October 15, 1954 in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Guadalupe and Juan Menchaca. Alongside his eldest sibling and parents he came to live in Visalia, CA. He grew up attending school in the city of Visalia where he met the love of his life Lucila Estrada in 1972. They married in 1975 and began to grow their family. They were to celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2022. Together they raised their children Jose "Louie" Jr., the twins Veronica and Roberto, and Stephanie. Louie was a hardworking man who set the example for his children of good work ethic and dedication. He worked for Clyde Rhodes Construction for 20 years and 26 years for the Housing Authority of Tulare County. He was a die hard 49ers Fan, enjoyed reading a good book and listening to a variety of English and Spanish music. He loved to attend classic car show events with his brothers and kids. Louie enjoyed celebrating the Super Bowl alongside his family and it was even better when his favorite team was playing. Louie took all his kids to their first 49ers football game and he also taught his nephews Derek and Chris their love for the sport. His family enjoyed when he would bbq tri-tip and treat them to pizza for Friday night dinners. Louie was also the grandfather to one granddaughter, Anisa whom he loved to spoil and run around the park with. He is survived by his wife, children, granddaughter, siblings Sandra Menchaca and Mario Menchaca, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John Menchaca. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday, June 27th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will be held 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, June 27th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 9:00 AM Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1908 N. Court Street, Visalia. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
