Jerry Don McPhetridge

Jerry Don "Donnie" McPhetridge was born August 9th, 1959, in San Bernadino California. He passed away after a brief battle with cancer on February 27th 2024, surrounded by his family at his sister's home in Visalia. He was preceded in death by his mother Ada Lee McPhetridge, his sisters Sandra Capatosto & Anita Johnson, & brother Gary McPhetridge (Janelle). Donnie is survived by the loves of his life, his daughter Stephanie McPhetridge & granddaughter Emmalynn McPhetridge (Ciera/Claire). He is also survived by his sisters Gloria Clark (Wayne) and Elaine Ballard (Timmy) & his brothers Roger McPhetridge (Amber) & Lynn McPhetridge (Debbie). Donnie was the youngest of eight children. His family moved around a lot before settling in Pixley, California. He often shared memories of shenanigans with his siblings and the extensive amount of family he had in Pixley. He loved to talk about baseball and somehow remembered every detail from games going all the way back to Little League, Tulare Union High School and the brief time he played at College of the Sequoias. Donnie spent a lot of time working on the "McPhetridge Family Tree" and sharing the information he found with others to make new family connections. He enjoyed golfing with his cousin Tom Richardson and nephew Clint McPhetridge whenever he could. He really enjoyed River Island Golf Course and playing the courses at the coast. He enjoyed going to the desert and off roading in his Rhino with his close friends and former neighbors the Dodson's and being part of the "Centennial Gang" where he enjoyed his neighbor's company and having drinks by the pool during the summer. He loved his plants and flowers and having a perfectly manicured yard which he would often show off on Facebook. He loved to travel and take Stephanie & Emmy to Pismo Beach in his trailer where he would BBQ & make Cioppino. Donnie retired from Kraft Foods and eventually moved to the Oregon coast. He was a proud member of The Elks, and he would travel in his trailer to many different Elk's campgrounds. While in Oregon he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and crabbing. He enjoyed being with his niece and nephew Janae & Ronnie Osburn and going to the "Rhody Days" car show and attending the Highland Games. Donnie was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved his family to no end and would do anything for them. He will be truly missed. A celebration of Life will be held for Donnie at the Blackstone Church of Christ on April 13th at 12:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served after in the fellowship hall.
