Jacky Wayne Lee

March 19, 1928 -July 4, 2021 Jacky Wayne Lee passed away on July 4th, 2021, at 93 years of age. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Prestige Assisted Living Center. Jacky is proceeded in death by his wife of 75 years Jane Lee, and his sons Timothy and Mark Lee. He is survived by his sister Margaret, daughter Melanie; his grandchildren Jason, Amanda, and Mathew; and great grandchildren, Liam, Lily and Isla. Jacky was born in Coleman, Texas and spent his young life there. His family moved to Visalia in his teenage years. He then graduated from Visalia High School (Redwood). Jacky and Jane were married March 3rd, 1945. They built their first home on Iris Avenue in Visalia with the help of family and friends, one paycheck at a time. While they were living on Iris Ave, Jacky served in the Army National Guard. He was honorably discharged after 2 years of service during the Korean War. He started working as an Installer at Pacific Bell before moving inside to the Test Board and eventually becoming an Assistant Engineer. He retired after 35 years of service to Pac Bell (AT&T). After retirement, Jacky worked for a time as an ATM machine repairman. He also managed his own apartments for many years. Jacky was a lifetime member of the AT&T Pioneers and the Visalia Elks Lodge #1978. His favorite thing to do was sit and tell stories and jokes to his family and friends and it didn't matter if there was a little embellishment. Jacky and Jane lived for over sixty years in an old Victorian home on North Encina St, in Visalia. They liked to go searching for antiques to furnish and decorate their home. They even made trips across the country to do this. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to places like Hawaii and Canada. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He was always there when family or friends needed help. He will be greatly missed. His funeral will be held at the Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Viewing will be at 8:30 am with service at 9:00 am. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
