Gloria Jean Wilson

Gloria Jean Wilson was born in Tulare, CA on April 3,1952 to Pastor Benjamin Beavers Sr. (Benny) and Bertha-Mae Beavers. She was the fourth of twelve children born from this union. Gloria Jean was raised by her aunt and uncle Mary and Wallace Smith. Gloria Jean attended Earlimart Union Elementary and Middle Schools, Delano High School, and College Of Sequoias for two years. Gloria Jean married the love of her life Harry in 1974, with whom she had two sons Kevin and Brian. Gloria Jean attended First Baptist Church in her early years at Pixley, CA where she served in the choir and the youth group. She later attended Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Wilson. Then, in the mid-80s, she wholeheartedly joined Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall Visalia. Gloria Jean had a contagious smile that would light up the sky. She spread her joy through her love of singing and baking - her carrot cake was loved by her family. She enjoyed listening to music, acting, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a love for cartoons, but loved watching westerns best. Most of all, Gloria Jean loved praising Jehovah. Her favorite song to sing was "Jesus Built a Fence Around Me." Gloria Jean worked as a Housekeeping Manager at the Holiday Inn for six years and at the Lamplighter Inn for twenty-one years. Gloria Jean was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Bertha Beavers; her aunt and uncle Mary and Wallace Smith; her brothers Charles Ray Beavers and Benjamin Beavers Jr.; and her sisters Connie Marie Kelly and Barbara Ann Beavers. Gloria Jean leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Harry W. Wilson Jr.; sons Kevin S. Hightower (Carol) and Brian Keith Beavers (Sonya); grandsons Shaquille, Malik, T, Jayvon, and Braylon; granddaughters Tanisha, Alxandrea, Jeylynn, and Anisah; and great-grandchildren Avanni and Rena Rose. She also leaves to cherish her brothers Roger (Dolores), Donald (Tyra); her sisters Ruth (CL), Mae, Annie, Goldie, Virginia, and Rochelle; sister-in-law Lorna Beavers and brother-in-law Jesse Kelly.
