Gloria Lopez Alvarado

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Alvarado, age 86, who left us peacefully on December 28th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Gloria's enduring legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to resonate with all who knew her. Born on April 6, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, Gloria was a woman of immense warmth and grace. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs before her own. A devoted mother to seven children and a loving grandmother to many grandchildren, Gloria's home was a haven of comfort, wisdom, and joy. Her unconditional love and fierce loyalty to her family were the foundation of her life, and her influence will live on through the generations. Gloria is survived by her children, Aurora Redfern, Irma Cowling, Michelle Alvarado, Yvonne and husband John Contreras, Gloria and husband Don Waldrum, Joe Alvarado Jr, and finally Elena Alvarado and husband Isaac Romero. Also along with her grandchildren Dawn and Husband Billy Boland, Jessica and Husband George Garcia, Krystal Redfern, Rebecca Cowling and Ray Aviles, Johnathan and wife Delilah Deatherage. Brian and Nicholas Deatherage, Hannah Waldrum, Adriana, Sabrina, Alicia and Mia Alvarado, Jorge and wife Anita Ortega, Simon Ortega, Isaac and Vanessa Romero. Along with her many great grandchildren. Gloria's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the healthcare professionals and caregivers who provided her with loving care in her final days. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Gloria. Your love and light will never fade. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 417 N E St., Exeter. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at Exeter District Cemetery, 719 E. Marinette Ave., Exeter. A reception will follow at the Exeter Memorial Building after funeral services. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
