Geneva Faye Whelan

Geneva Faye Whelan, 71, of Benson Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 30, 2020 in Visalia California. Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandma, GiGi, sister, aunt, and friend. You could always find her outside tending to her rosebushes, her many flowers and gardening. Geneva loved attending church & serving the lord. You could always count on her to help and serve others. Her greatest love was her family. At any given time Geneva would be at her grandchildren's events. Whether it was their sports, rodeos, dances, you would find her there cheering them on. She treasured the times when she would sit with each of them and have heartfelt conversations about what was taking place in each of their lives. Family was her greatest accomplishment. Geneva was born on June 18, 1949 to Donald and Dorothy parks in Coshocton Ohio. As a child her family moved to Arizona where she attended schools in Sierra Vista and Wilcox Arizona. Geneva married her first true love, Bill Whelan on June 27, 1966. Shortly after they began their family and established a home in Benson Arizona. This is where they raised their two loving daughters, Donna Leigh and Terri Lynn, and created a lifetime of love and memories. This unchanging love, friendship and family would remain throughout the years. Later in life Geneva met her final love, Louie Torres. During their relationship they created many lasting memories. She was blessed to have gained an extended family. Doug Torres and wife Michaele, & children McKenzie and Dallin. Genevieve Torres and children Tissa and Tyler. Jena Torres and son Lawson Wayne Mayfield. Geneva is survived by her daughters Donna Leigh Whelan-Post and Terri Lynn Whelan-Sigley and husband Tom. Grandsons Judd Post and wife Angela, Jarod Post. Granddaughters Courtney Sigley and Carley Sigley. Great granddaughter Scarlett Jane Post. Brother Melvin and wife Vickie Parks, sisters Harriet McCune, Kay Libasci and Jan Kerr. Along with many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy Park and her sister Barbara Saulters. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Kotino's Barn 30312 Rd 196 Exeter CA.
