Flora Angela Gomez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved Flora Angela Gomez, known to a great many of you as "Flo". On July 28, 2023 our Flora passed away due to health complications at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, CA. Flora was born on Tuesday, February 6, 1973 at Exeter memorial hospital. As the first child of Peter and Angie Rodr�guez, she was the eldest of six. She leaves behind her husband Emiliano Hernandez of ten years and seven children they raised together. Silvester (31), Angela (29), Jacob (27), Soloman (22), Flora (18), Nicholas (16) and DaisyBelle (10) and eight grandchildren. Conrad, Uriah, Ezekiel, Xena, Aria, Alena, Axaiah and Josiah. Flora was preceded in death by her father Peter Paul Rodriguez. Flora is survived by her mother Angie Rodriguez, husband Emiliano Hernandez, their children and grandchildren. By her siblings, Angelic Guerrero, Nadine Yzaguirre , Peter Rodriguez, Marie Smith and Heavenly Rodriguez. Some of Floras fondest memories were the times she spent on her grandparents ranch, playing with her cousins in the canal and running through the orchards. Even as a young child, she had a big heart and was most definitely a force to be reckoned with. If she heard someone was ever in need she wasn't one to wait around she just flew into action and knew exactly what was needed. More than anything else she never let anyone mess with her children nor her grandchildren. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Flora was an extraordinary cook and was best known for her delicious tamales. She was artistic and could take anything dull or broken and make it into something beautiful. Many of her drawings consisted of dragonflies and sunflowers. Anything she found interesting would became an instant passion and she would excel at it. One of her favorite quotes was "let the blossoms bloom from within". Her latest passion being gardening; it was a hobby she enjoyed and shared with her husband, who helped nurture her own little garden. Flora was a dreamer who never stopped dreaming and always encouraged others to do the same. Although there is no easy way to turn the page on this chapter of our lives, we do so knowing that she will live on in the garden of beautiful memories within our hearts. Prayer Service will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
