Dolores Ruth Omartian

Dolores Ruth Novak Omartian left this world to join her heavenly family on May 22, 2024 in the presence of her loving son Dennis Omartian and grandson Evan Omartian and Mariah Louis. Dolores is survived and honored by her daughter Sandra, brother Charles Novak (Cruz), her granddaughter Cydney Padgett and her children Beck, Reece, Skylar and Sophie, and her youngest granddaughter Mariah Villarreal (Jessie) and their children Logan and Landon. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband George Omartian, who passed in 2018. Dolores was a statuesque blonde from Evanston, II, who emigrated to the brunette Central Valley with her young family in 1947. Dolores loved working as a transcriber for Tulare County Human Services, until she was asked to help manage Perfecto Carpet Company, her husband and father-in-law's floor covering business. The family business closed in 2009 - having supported employment opportunities for the community, friends, and family for over 50 years. Dolores was a talented small kitchen chef and multi award-winning baker. Her favorite place was her kitchen. Among her many talents were: quickly planning whirlwind vacations and traditional shopping trips for the women in her family, creating porcelain dolls from carefully selected parts and hand stitching the clothing with seasonal accessories (Barbie clothes & wedding dresses, too), and built exquisitely designed doll houses with prize winning detail. She had a keen eye for business fashion and made it a point to never wear the same outfit twice. Our Matriarch has entrusted us left behind to remember: her family's small part in the history of Chicago's post-depression era underbelly, that presentation matters, and ghosts exist. To her great-grandchildren, she's provided the foundations for holiday traditions to come, like 7' flocked trees and bishi. 96 years of experience shared, remembered with love. Rosary will be held 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Homily of Prayers services will follow from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
