David Martin Summers November 10 1967 - March 27 2025 Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of David Summers, who left us far too soon on March 27, 2025 at the age of 57. A man of immense love, laughter and loyalty, David's sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew him. Born in Clovis, California and raised in the Moreno Valley and Chino areas, David's vibrant spirit and love for music began early. As a young man, he lived out his rock-and-roll dreams as a drummer in several bands during the early 1980s, maintaining his lifelong passion for music. A natural leader, David spent 20+ successful years in the automotive industry before transitioning to merchant services, where he served as Vice President for the past 15 years. His colleagues knew him for his integrity, sharp business acumen, and genuine care for those he worked with. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sherry Summers, who was his constant companion and greatest supporter. Together they built a beautiful life, raising their five children: Tessa (Mackensie), Tori (Chase), Savannah, Brandon, and Bryson. The family first settled in Tulare/Visalia, California before later moving to El Dorado Hills where David became a pillar of both his family and community. David was the son of Linda Brown (Dennis) and Danny Summers and was lovingly raised by Raymond Spicer. He is survived by his siblings, Tammie Cotenas, Scott Day, Shannon Summers, and Amber Horton; and numerous nieces and nephews. As a football enthusiast, David spent many years coaching his sons' teams supporting their passion for sports pacing on the sideline of every game. His love of music never waned, and he took special joy in encouraging his daughter's artistic talents. In recent years, he embraced his role as "Papa" to grandchildren Dekota and soon to arrive, Oliver, delighting in every moment with them. A funeral service will be held on April 18, 2025 at 10:00AM at Salser & Dillard 127 E Caldwell Ave in Visalia, California, followed by a graveside service at Tipton & Pixley Cemetery 10395 Ave 144 in Tipton, California. The family welcomes all who knew and loved David to join them in celebrating his remarkable life. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that David's legacy lives on through his passion for life, the lessons he taught, and the family he loved so deeply.
