David George Lenz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, David George Lenz, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, PaPa and best friend. David who was born on July 18, 1940 and passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 84. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Toni Lenz who was born on July 3, 1944 and passed on April 2, 2014, at the age of 69. Leaving behind a legacy of kindness, and unwavering support for those they loved. They started their lives together in Whittier, California before moving to Woodlake, California in 1989. David dedicated 18 years of his life to the Tulare County Fire Department, serving from March 12, 1990, to March 28, 2008, as a supply officer. In this vital role, he ensured that both the Tulare and Cal Fire Departments were consistently supplied with food, water, and other essential resources needed during fire-fighting operations. His behind-the-scenes contributions were instrumental in supporting those on the front lines and demonstrated his deep commitment to community service. David and Toni are survived by their son David S. Lenz; daughter Shelley Carrillo; son-in-law Jose Carrillo; and their grandson Hunter W. Howard. They are also remembered by their loving extended family and many dear friends who will carry their memory forward with love and gratitude. Toni was a beautiful wife, sister, mother, and grandma. Remembered for her warmth, grace, and the love she shared with all who knew her. After she raised her children she found her passion of volunteering in her community and spent many summers in The Sequoia National Park as a camp director with Camp San Joaquin for many years. Toni spent time volunteering with numerous community projects for the City of Woodlake. Toni had a passion for gardening where she spent many hours helping at the Woodlake Botanical Garden. David and Toni especially enjoyed family barbecues and going out for breakfast, spending time at the central coast, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life and the company of those they loved most. Their presence will be greatly missed. David and Toni demonstrated a special bond in life and will now rest together in peace. They will be deeply missed by their family, but their light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved them. Graveside services will be held on June 27th at 9:00 a.m. at Visalia Cemetery 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia, Ca 93291 Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
