Cecilia Bravo Torres

Cecilia Bravo Torres entered the gates of Heaven on July 16th, 2017 at the age of 77. Her final days were spent surrounded with her loving family. Cecilia was born April 1st, 1940 in Tagus Ranch Camp #9, California to Earl and Annie Bravo. She attended Enterprise school and Tulare Union High School. She played softball at the age of 13 with a woman's team. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events and every Tuesday night going to the bowling alley to watch her son-in-law "Raybird" bowl and have pizza with her daughter Eleanor and family. She also enjoyed family gatherings, looming and occasional trips to the casinos. She was an avid Los Angeles Dodger fan and attended many games. She was also an avid LA Raiders fan. She enjoyed her days gardening and tending to her plants in her backyard. Cecilia was married to Henry Torres in 1955, and started their family soon thereafter. They had five children and their journey began. Cecilia worked as office manager for the family business for 33 years and retired in 2016. She had many close friends who will miss her dearly. Cecilia is survived by her husband of 61 years Henry Torres, children, Elisa Sanchez, Eleanor Castellanoz (Ray), Henry Torres Jr. (Stephanie), Michael Torres (Sylvia), and Belinda Martinez (Michael), brother, Earl Bravo, sister, Connie Alvarado as well as her 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Annie and Earl Bravo, brother Billy Bravo, sisters Toni Bravo, Mona Mora and Francis Chavez and her two grandchildren Bubs Torres and Brooklyn Espinoza. Cecilia was "Nana" to all her grandchildren and all others that knew her. She will always be "Girlfriend" to all. Visitation will be held 5:30-9pm Wednesday, July 19th, 2017 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E Caldwell Ave., Visalia CA. Recitation of the Rosary followed by Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 South O Street, Tulare, CA. Internment will take place immediately following at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E Kern Ave., Tulare CA.
