Angela "Angie" Martinez, 60, of Visalia, Ca went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2026. Angie was born to Adolfo Martinez and the late Maria "Nonie" Velasquez on September 7,1965, in Salinas, California. She was the oldest of four siblings and grew up in Visalia with her mother and brothers. She spent some holidays and summers with her dad & stepmom and that side of her family in Hayward. As a girl, Angie loved listening to music, singing, riding bikes with the neighborhood kids and going to the car shows that her dad entered. As she grew older, she especially enjoyed spending time with her tias, who were so close in age they felt more like sisters. Above all Angie loved her family. Angie became a mother at a young age, and from that moment on, her children became the center of her life. She was a devoted and involved mother who raised her children in a home filled with love. She took pride in making sure they always had what they needed, often going without so that they could have more. Angie also had a passion for decorating (with home interior) and creating a beautiful, welcoming home- a place where everyone wanted to gather. Even when the family went through difficult times, she found a way to be there for her children in every way a mother could. Later in life, Angie found a deeper sense of joy and purpose. She fell in love with Jesus, became a woman of God, and truly thrived. She treasured her church and the relationships she built there. Angie had the heart of a caretaker and spent so much of her life looking after others. She loved being surrounded by her family and especially cherished time with her children and grandchildren. When Angie married Aaron, it was one of the happiest days of her life- and, man, what a beauty she was. She would often say, "I love my life." Together, their family included her five biological children, Manuel, Catalina, Frankie, Crystal and Erica, as well as her stepchildren, Adriana and Mario. Mario naturally became "the baby," whom Angie adored. Their relationship brought her tremendous joy and, in many ways, gave her a beautiful sense of redemption in motherhood. Angie loved being a wife and truly cherished that role. Angie will be remembered for so many things, but especially for her beautiful smile and unforgettable laughter. Her father says he was filled with joy the day she was born. Some words that are used to remember and describe her are: strength, selflessness, helper, resilient, lover, mom, kind, thoughtful, mentor, advisor and the best. Angie is survived by her husband, Aaron; her seven children, Manuel, Catalina, Frankie, Crystal, Erica, Adrianna, and Mario; her father; her step siblings and half-brother; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind beloved tias, tios nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends she considered family. Over the years, many people looked to Angie as a mother figure-a reflection of just how big her heart was and how freely she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the love she gave, the family she built and the faith she carried will live on through them. A service celebrating Angie's life will be held at 4:30pm on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, at 127 E. Caldwell Ave., in Visalia, California.
