Adolfo Vasquez Rodriguez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adolfo V Rodriquez, (81), of Orosi, California, on February 8, 2024, surrounded by family. He left this world too soon, but his impact and the memories he created will forever live in our hearts. Adolf was born to Manuel and Brijida Rodriquez on June 18, 1942 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. At the age of 9, his family relocated to Tulare County in the small town of Cutler, CA. The family would eventually settle in Orosi- Midway to be exact. At a young age, Adolf learned the true meaning of hard work. Alongside his family, he learned to pick cotton, grapes, tomatoes and oranges. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he completed boot camp in Fort Benning, Georgia. While overseas in Germany, Adolf worked on radio tower communications. When Adolf returned home, he worked various jobs until he took a leap of faith and bought a service station. It was here he served his community for the next 30 years through his auto mechanic skills. After closing the service station, he continued to work as a mechanic until the age of 79, when he retired. Adolf is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria. His children Christopher (Karri), Eduardo, Melissa (Valarie), Cindy (Dan) and Robert (Lisa). Step-children Josephine (Leo), Martin, Joe and James (Maria). 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Siblings Mercy, Julia (Gregorio), Raymundo (Margaret), Daniel and Abel (Yolanda). Numerous nieces and nephews. Adolf was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Bridija, siblings Macario and Emma and in-law Manuel. Besides family, Adolf leaves behind many wonderful friends whom he enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing, hunting and celebrating life with. Around the house he loved to tinker and put his creativity to work with metal and woodworking projects. He had a loving and compassionate heart, always willing to help those in need. Adolf lived a good and happy life. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 29, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. At the conclusion of the service the family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Veterans Memorial Building at 609 W Center in Visalia. The final burial will be on March 1, 2024 at the Visalia District Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
