Vincent Leos Vaca was 62 years old and passed suddenly in his home on February 4th, 2022, in Visalia, CA. Vincent, who was known as Sugar to his family and close friends, was born on July 21st, 1959, in Tulare, CA to Vincent Martinez Vaca and Virginia Leos Ortega. Vincent grew up with his siblings in Montebello, CA. From a young age he immersed himself into sports and excelled in several. These were Football, track and field, basketball, and boxing. Football would emerge as his favorite and the sport he loved most. He garnered many athletic achievements throughout his athletic career. Additionally, Vince was also an associate of the World Boxing Hall of Fame from 2004-2008. Sports would always continue to play a role as he traveled his journey through life. Vincent graduated from Montebello High School in 1978 before graduating from East Los Angeles College in 1981. He would then have a thirty-year career in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer, retiring in 2013. Vincent loved to spend time with his family and loved ones. He'd have get togethers for the super bowl, have people over for Fight Nights, BBQs, and USC football games. Traveling with his family was also something he loved. Going to many different places and enjoying all the sights and experiences with his family. He also loved to go camping in the great outdoors, he really enjoyed being out in the wilderness. Vincent was a good son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a big heart and was very giving. He was loved and he gave his love. Although, he was never married nor had any children of his own, he helped raise his niece Kristina who he loved and cherished as his own. Vincent is preceded in death by his brothers; Eddie (Red), Richard (Ricky). His father, Vincent. And his mother, Virginia. He is survived by his brother and sisters; Christine, Victor, Marie, Angelina and Veronica, his nieces and nephews; Eddie Jr, Carlos, Krystal, Kristina, Collete, Reno, Skyler and Jonah. "Lord Jesus, you alone are holy and compassionate, forgive our brother for his sins. By dying you opened the gates of life for those who believe in you, do not let our brother be parted from you, but by your glorious power. Give him light, joy, and peace where you live forever and ever." Visitation will be held 1 PM - 3 PM Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Service Of Remembrance services will be held 3 PM - 4 PM Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
