Robert Lewis Shockley

July 11, 1943 - February 14, 2022

On February 14, 2022, Robert L. Shockley 78, passed from this life to Heaven where he was welcomed by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Robert was born in Fresno, CA on July 11, 1943, to Donna Faye (Rogers) and Jake L. Shockley. Robert met his future bride Linda Stoner in Visalia in October 1964 and made her his wife on October 15, 1966. Drafted shortly thereafter, he served his country during the Vietnam Conflict from May 1967-May 1969. Robert was an avid fan of racing his entire life. NASCAR was his passion even to the point of transforming a bedroom into an official racecar domain featuring Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He had many collections which will be enjoyed by his grandsons. This was a man who made an impression everywhere he went and was liked by all. Once you met him you couldn't forget his welcoming smile, infectious laughter, and booming voice. He is survived by his wife Linda, of 55 years, his two daughters: Tiffany Henderson and Tricia (Justin) Danell, five grandsons Tyler, Tanner & Trevor Henderson; Coleton & Connor Danell and brother, Ron Willingham. He was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Donna (Rogers-Shockley) and Neal Willingham, father Jake Shockley, brother James Shockley and sister Ruth Ann Martinho. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Gateway Church of Visalia, 1100 S Sowell.
