Robert Wayne Crane
August 26, 1931 - February 9, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we give notice of the passing of Dr. Robert (Bob) and Mary Crane. Mary was born January 2, 1932 and passed away in March 2021 after losing her battle with multiple myeloma's. Bob was born August 26, 1931, and passed shortly and peacefully after being diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2022. To those who knew them, it was not surprising they left so close to each other. They did everything together. Old timers will remember "Dr. Bob" from his years working at the Springville Tuberculosis sanitarium. He later had his private practice in Porterville, worked at Sierra View and spent time working at the Porterville Developmental Center. Mary will be remembered for her work as a Weight Watcher leader and her many years helping out with Bob's medical office. Both Bob and Mary were surrogate parents to countless kids. They welcomed all who needed their attention. More important than anything though, was their love for each other. They were married for over 66 years and remained best friends until the end. They were preceded in death by their son-in-law, Winston Williams. They leave behind four children, Bob, Rosemary (Antonio), Rebecca (Bob), and Susan. They had multiple grandchildren, Jaynell (Kevin), Josiah (Rindi), Shasta, James (Jennifer), Julian (Kiani), Holly, Nathan & Daniel. They also had four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Words cannot express how much they will be missed. They will live on in the lives of those they touched. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Memorial Tributes and condolences may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com.
