Terri Lopez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Phyllis Therese "Terri" Lopez was born on October 3rd, 1946 in Fresno, California and passed away peacefully on March 14th, 2022 in Visalia, California. Terri worked as an Instructional Assistance for the Tulare County Office of Education for 38 years primarily with children with special needs. Terri was very patient with the children she worked with and developed strong relationships with their families even after they were no longer her students. During her time with the Office of Education, she was also involved with Special Olympics held in Tulare County. In her retirement years, Terri enjoyed staying at home playing games on her iPad and socializing via FaceBook. She loved listening to her favorite singer, Elvis Presley, on her Alexa. She baked banana nut bread and different kinds of cookies every Christmas to share with friends and family. Terri also liked playing slot machines and she was able to visit Laughlin, Nevada for the first time in May 2021. Terri was preceded in death by her husband (Ernesto Lopez), mother (Martha Cabling), daughter (Michelle Cadaoas-Balderas), father (John Cadaoas), and her dogs (Missy Jean and Chewy). Terri is survived by her son (Dathan Aaron Piritu), granddaughter (Therese Balderas), brothers (Trino, Armando, and Rick Cadaoas), sister (Gloria Cabling), many cousins, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 28th, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Terri's wishes were to only have her favorite flower, red roses, at the service. Her son would like to thank the staff at Delta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Bristol Hospice for the excellent care provided to his mom.
