Patricia A Stoddart

November 3, 1948 - March 20, 2022

Patricia (Arnold) Stoddart November 3. 1948 - March 20. 2022 Patricia Stoddart went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 73 years old. Pat was born in Visalia, California on November 3, 1948 to Charles (Scoop) and Jo Arnold. She attended Mt. Whitney High School and spent many enjoyable hours during those years helping out at the family business, Arnold's Market. After graduation Pat took business courses, moved to Los Angeles, and worked at the UCLA library. Eventually she was hired by the Southern California Edison Company and began a long career in the customer service, engineering and managerial departments. While employed at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station in San Clemente she met and married her husband, Chuck Stoddart. After nearly 30 years of service with Edison, Pat retired and moved with Chuck to Visalia to care for her mother. During that time she volunteered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, supported a ministry to teen moms called Young Lives, and attended Visalia Evangelical Free Church She was also a part of Open House Fellowship and hosted a women's Bible study in her home for several years. Even as her health declined and she became more disabled, Pat opened her doors and welcomed her friends into her home and eventually into her room at Magnolia Park Assisted Living. There she spent the last six years of her life, lovingly cared for by the staff and Dr. Meis. As long as she was able, Pat was a generous and faithful friend and encourager to many. "It is what it is" was her patient and faith-filled response to her many trials, and she will always be an inspiration to those who were close to her. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her four step-children and many step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sequoias, 215 W. Tulare Avenue, Visalia CA 93277 Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM - 12:00 PM Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia.
