Mya Makayla Rivas

January 14, 2010 - April 24, 2022

Our beautiful girl was born on January 14, 2010 in Visalia Ca. to Roxanne Rivas. Mya enjoyed many things but her favorite things were attending Church Services every Saturday with her great grandparents, drawing, playing with slime and playing with her cousins. If you were blessed to know her, you automatically loved her. She transmitted so much love and kindness towards those in need that once she said that if she had alot of money, she would feed all the homeless. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her uncles and aunties. She attended Sierra View Jr Acadamy through 5th grade where she made many school friends and loved her teachers and staff. Mya was wise beyond her age and her faith in God was strong. She faced her adversity with bravery and strength and often referred to the passage found in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength. Mya will be missed by her family and friends but we find comfort in knowing that we will see her one day soon. Our hope is found in Matthew 19:14 Jesus said , "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Mya is preceded in death by her mother Roxanne Rivas and Great-grandfather Macedonio Rivas. She is survived by her Great-grandmother Maria G. Rivas of Woodlake Ca. Grandfather Ramiro (Adriana) Rivas of Guadalajara Mex., Grandmother Rosa Garcia of Woodlake Ca., Sister Danielle Rivas of Woodlake Ca., Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. Viewing will be held 4 PM Monday, May 23rd, 2022 at Visalia Bilingual Central, 3215 East Millcreek Pkwy, Visalia. Funeral services will be held 5 PM - 7 PM Monday, May 23rd, 2022 at Visalia Bilingual Central. Graveside services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at Woodlake Public Cemetery, 165 N Cypress St, Woodlake. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
