Mary Louise Evans

February 26, 1944 - December 30, 2021

Mary Lousie Evans (February 26, 1944 - December 30, 2021) Mary was born to Gordon & Jewell Cook in Exeter, Ca,. She had 3 siblings, Judy, Eddie, & Kathleen. Mary attended George McCann Catholic School and graduated from Redwood High School. MARY LOVED LIFE!!! One of her favorite things to do was to travel in her RV with her husband Ken. They would ride their Razor in the desert, and water ski at the lake. Her travels allowed her to see such sights as Ireland, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. She loved to travel to their home in Needles, and her beloved cabin in Bass Lake. Mary loved participating in her "Red Hats Club" and club with women whom she had shared lifelong friendships. Mary survived two bouts of Breast Cancer without missing a step! Family was most important to Mary. Gathering and playing a game of shuffleboard always made her smile. At family get togethers she loved to dance and bring out her maracas, bell anklets, and tambourine. All of her children always requested moms "famous" macaroni salad at family get togethers. Mary had five children: Alan, Kathy, Jennifer, Becky, & Eric. Along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Downs, her sister Judy, and her son Alan. We would like to give special thanks to her daughters Jennifer & Becky and granddaughter Kamm for being by her side until she went to Heaven. Mary was selfless with her constant concern of everyone else before herself. Even when enduring chemo treatments, she still took her friend of 71 years Linda to lunch. We all will miss this wonderful wife, mother, sister, & friend. Flowers may be sent to Salser & Dillard. 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA 932921 on Jan 20, 2022. A graveside service will be held at the Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., 93291 on Jan 21, 2022 at 10:30AM. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
