May 1, 1949 - February 22, 2022
You allowed us to wander the back creeks of our Alabama home when we were just kids up to our teenage years on summer days to find tadpoles swimming, fishing poles with the anticipation of the fishes we would catch, bonding moments of siblings, allowing us to enjoy nature and the peace that comes from ponds and creeks, running around with cousins until it got dark outside, and where the fireflies came to visit. Playing in the rain with bags, getting wet and running around with no cares in the world, giving us the opportunity to just be happy kids. You allowed us to be curious of the world around us. You gave us wings to fly. As parents, you provided a beautiful childhood with wonderful memories we will forever cherish; along with a world of possibilities that would await us. As the years went by and we moved to California, the family dinners continued each night. Feeding and caring for us the best way you knew how, you allowed us to understand the meaning of family love, a mother's love. As we grew up and started to leave the nest, each adult in search of their own paths, you were always there. You continued to be a silent supporter of our wins in life. As your health deteriorated and life became challenging, your smiles would fade from time to time. What we all will remember is when you smiled, it was beautiful to behold. That is the way we will see you in our hearts- your smiling face when we think of you. As you have allowed us to fly, we hope you now have your wings to soar. Wishing you peace and love always. We love you, Mom. Leu Jio Saefong was born May 1, 1949. She was married to Saeng Sio Saefong. She leaves behind 5 children, Tony, Leigh, Jackie, Adam, and Kathy Saefong.
