Joyce Marie Dunn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joyce M. Dunn passed away on March 9, 2022 at the age of 83. Joyce was the daughter of Daniel R Harris and Esther J Harris (Parnell). She was born on October 15, 1938 in Payson Oklahoma. After graduating from Mt. Whitney High School in 1956, she married Richard J Dunn on June 16, 1957. Joyce and Richard owned Dunn's Office Equipment until Richard's death in 1978. She is survived by her son, Steven R. Dunn of Visalia and daughter, Susan M. Scholtes of Oklahoma, She was also the grandma if Derek C. Baca of Visalia and had a number of great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Dunn and her longtime companion Maxey Harrell. Joyce excelled at bookkeeping and had many jobs through the years. Not because she couldn't keep them, but because she always found friends who needed her skills. During the time her children were in elementary school, Joyce was involved in Crestwood PTA, and was a Cub Scout den mother, In later years, she belonged to Beta Sigma Phi where she made many life long friends. She was a member of the Sea Hags, and was affectionately named Princess Sea Hag as her license plate frame would tell you. She and Max enjoyed Vapor Trailers functions, and often entertained at Max's ranch. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30am on Saturday, April 9 at Visalia District Cemetery.
