Jesus Marquez, was 85 years old when he was called home to be with our Lord on February 3, 2022 in Visalia, California. Jesus was born on June 2, 1936 in Jalisco, Mexico, to his parents Jesus Maria Marquez Olivares and Hemilia Marquez. Jesus was an immigrant from Mexico, initially with the bracero program. He married Alberta and started his family. He then settled in Illinois where he worked as a blacksmith. He decided to make his new home in Woodlake, California in 1973, bringing his family from Mexico and became a labor butler. Later welder and spray equipment operator. His seven children, Leonor, Jose Hugo, Maria del Rocio, Jesus Maria, Roberto, Alejandro and Berta; twenty-seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Jesus dedicated his life to the service of the Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed walking in the flea market on Thursday and Sunday mornings, as well as having breakfast with his family and friends. He spent hours working in the garden, taking care of his plants and trees and cleaning the garden. Because he was always an example of work, effort, and infinite love towards God our Lord. We will always carry him in our thoughts and especially in our hearts. Praying to God for his eternal rest. The viewing of his mortal remains has been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
