Jean Marie Lynch

February 26, 1926 - January 5, 2022

Jean Marie (Howard) Lynch, went to help the angels pour out the rain on January 5th, 2022. She spent the last weeks of her life in her granddaughter's home, where she could be surrounded by her family who loved Granny so dearly. Those who knew Granny knew her amazing love for her two daughters, and her beloved Sophie. She could literally bring life to any seed or sapling as she found pure joy in her garden. She was known for her quick wit and the ability to make any of her favorite swear words sound comical. She loved the color pink, a simple bow or ribbon, a good box of See's chocolate, or an occasional snort of beer. She will be greatly missed at our family poker games but luckily, she taught us all she knew. Jeannie was born to Opal and Oris Howard, February 26,1926 in Los Angeles California. She is preceded in death by her parents Opal and Oris as well as her brothers, Richard Howard and Jerry Howard. Jeannie is also preceded in death by her husband Eugene Leader, whom she was married to for over 18 years. She also shared her life with Glenn Leader who loved her dearly. After raising her two girls she married her late husband Jesse Lynch who she shared her golden years with. Preceding her in death was aunt Geraldine Atkin, grandson Thomas Eugene Christensen. Granny is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Marie Alvarez, grandson Michael Alvarez (Lyn Mae), granddaughter Lisa Marie Torres (Gabriel), great granddaughter Samantha Marie Torres, great-great grandson Samuel Abel Torres Ibarra, great grandson Nicolas "Nico" Torres. Granny is also survived by her daughter Catherine Marie Chapman, grandson Russell Christensen, granddaughter Jeannie "Chickie" Marie White, great grandson Andrew Michael Thomas Christensen. Honorary mention to her lifetime bestie, Lyn Douglas "Linderman". Graveside services have been entrusted to Salser and Dillard and will be held Thursday January 20th at the Exeter District Cemetery. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Kaweah Hospice Foundation 559-624-2641 or Valley Oak SPCA 559-651-1111.
