David Coleman

June 18, 1934 - November 30, 2021

David William Coleman passed peacefully at home into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2021. David was born on June 18, 1934, in Joliet, Illinois to William and Irene Coleman. He attended College in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. David served his internship at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atascadero, California, where he also met and married his wife Donna. David served as Pastor to Lutheran churches in Clayton Valley, Antioch, Pittsburg, Eureka, and Visalia, California. He also served as Chaplain for Kaweah Delta Hospice. He developed Grace Lutheran Christian School and Visalia Christian Academy. He had the privilege of developing and serving as Director of Tulare County Alcoholism Council. David's life reflected his love for the Lord by the way he loved his family, friends, and broken people. As David fought through his final days, he was graciously cared for by the American Care Hospice. The family would like to thank each one for their loving and compassionate care. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna, of 63 years; his sons John Michael and Paul Matthew Coleman; his daughter-in-law Tonya Coleman; his son-in-law Patrick L. Mundy and wife Rachel. Preceding his death are his son Mark David Coleman and daughter Kathleen Marie Mundy. He also leaves behind three beautiful grandchildren Luke David Mundy and wife Sarah, Rachel Lane Perez and husband John, and Patrick Aaron Mundy and wife Brittany, and nine great grandchildren, Grace, Jensen, Samuel, Charlie, Jordan, Ethan, Madilyn, Brian, and Liam.
