Darin Sawyer

Darin Drew Sawyer (54) was born on April 22, 1962 to Don and Norma Sawyer of Exeter and passed away on March 7, 2017 in Visalia, CA. surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Exeter, CA. he attended Visalia and Exeter schools and went on to marry his soul mate Cathy (Cardoza) Sawyer on September 14, 1985. They settled in Exeter where they raised their two beautiful daughters, Chelsea and Briana. He was a loving and devoted husband; father, brother, son and friend. At the age of 23 Darin began his career in the concrete pumping industry, where he started and operated his own business, Sawyer’s Conrete Pumping for 23 years. In 2011 Darin opened a small retail business in Visalia, Bridge Street Bargains, which he was still currently operating. Darin was highly respected and loved by all. He was witty, intelligent and truly blessed with the gift of gab. His customers were known to stop by just to visit with him or seek his advice. He had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help someone in need. Darin was a hard worker, great provider and lived his life for his wife and daughters. He will be truly missed. Darin is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cathy Sawyer; his two daughters, Chelsea and Briana Sawyer; his mother, Norma Sawyer; brother, Rodney Sawyer; sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Dan LaMont, several nieces and nephews and his beloved 4-legged babies, Spooky, Lucy and Angie. He is preceded in death by his father Don Sawyer. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 16 from 4:00-7:00 P.M at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel located at 127 E. Caldwell Ave, Visalia. The service will be held on Friday March 17 at 11:00 A.M officiated by Father Rod at the same facility. If you are unable to attend, a webcast will be available through Salser and Dillard’s website. Graveside services will be held immediately after at the Hanford Calvary Cemetery. A reception will be held at St. Brigid’s Youth Center located at 319 N Harris St in Hanford fallowing his burial.
