Antonio Carmona Velazquez

May 12, 1943 - June 27, 2021

Antonio succumbed to chronic illness in the comfort of his home and departed peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Huejotitan, Jalisco, Mexico, to Manuel Carmona and Catalina Velazquez. He lived in the San Fernando Valley for many years. The last 15 years of his life he spent in Visalia, CA, a city he grew fond of over the years. He met Gloria Bustos 37 years ago and was showered by her love and affection all these years. They have never been apart and have stayed together in the good and the bad. They enjoyed dancing and having fun with the family. He was a passionate mechanic; he found the same passion in landscaping later on in life. He enjoyed being the life of the party and loved to play the guitar for entertainment. Antonio is survived by his life partner Gloria Bustos; daughters, Alicia Cazares and husband Ruben Cazares, Maria L. Carmona, Adriana G. Carmona, Graciela Cordova and husband Jose P. Cordova; sons, Angel Carmona, Antonio Carmona, and Luis Carmona. His grandchildren Mario Garza, Sergio Garza, Yoana Garza, Kevin Acevedo, Liliana Cazares, Ernesto Cazares, Javier Cazares, Alejandro Izarraraz, Randy L. Trivino, and Arianna E. Carmona. Antonio will be missed deeply by those he leaves behind. He will always be remembered for his remarkable resilience and his strong will to live. Viewing will be held 4-7pm Friday, July 16th, 2021 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia with the Rosary to be prayed at 6pm. Catholic Funeral services will be held 9am Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.
