Alfred Villarreal Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alfred "Freddy" Villarreal (1958-2021) Freddy Villarreal was born to Pablo and Juanita Villarreal on August 1, 1958 in Bakersfield California and passed away on April 19, 2021 in Visalia California. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, sister Gracie Torrez, brother, Chris "T-Ball" Villarreal and nephew Sergio Villarreal. Freddy is survived by his two daughters: Sophia and Erika, brother Paul Villarreal (wife Rita), sister Selia DelaHoz (husband Tony), sister Trini Castro (husband David) and sister Fina Mendoza (husband Blaz). Tio Freddy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he cared for very much. Freddy was a graduate of Mt. Whitney High School Class of 1977 and later attended College of the Sequoias. He was an extremely accomplished cross country athlete and was one of the most recognized runners in the area during his time. He won the 1975 All American Award for Cross Country, beating out the entire varsity team as an underclassman. His banner honoring his accomplishment still hangs in the Mt. Whitney gym to this day. Our entire family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. We would also like to give a special thanks to Bessie Flores and her family for their loyalty and love for Tio Freddy.
