William Ralph Conley

William Ralph Conley, often referred to as Willie, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 5, 2024 at the age of 65. William was born on October 29, 1958. He was born in Fresno, CA, in 1958 to Eugene and Sandy Conley, who had 4 children, with William being the youngest boy. He has a younger sister, Zona, and two older brothers, Curtis and Michael. They moved to Kerman, CA, which is where he resided for the majority of his childhood and young adulthood. He graduated from Kerman High School before joining the Army, and was sent to Germany. He was in the army as a recovery vehicle operator from 1978-1981. Some of his best memories he would share with his family were from this period of his life. William met the love of his life, Stacy, in 2006 at a Thanksgiving dinner hosted at William's home on November 26,2006. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in Fresno, CA, on November 8, 2008. They were in love and inseparable all the years they had together. William shared two children with Lisa named Christopher Conley, 38, and Brian Conley, 35. He had three step-daughter's with his wife Stacy named Julia Vargas, 29, Jolene Arias, 28, and Justine Braden, 26. They have a beautifully blended family with children, daughter-in-law's, and son-in-law's he adored. He was always the first to volunteer to make a dinner or birthday cakes for his kids and grandbabies to ensure they felt special. Though he loved going on new adventures, participating in carnivals, going camping, and taking beach trips, William's favorite role was that as a grandparent. He treasured his time with his grandkids and loved being their Papa, never failing to brighten their day with hugs and words of encouragement. He has a total of 19 grandchildren with ages ranging from five months to 14 years old. He was the grandpa that never missed any birthday's or other special events. William was passionate about his role as truck driver at FedEx (started with Viking until it was bought by FedEx). He worked for the company for 40 years, driving over 4 million miles. He worked the overnight shift and loved to go down the road listening to his favorite talk radio shows and classic rock. He grew up in the church and was a God-fearing man that showed everybody love and kindness. He always smiled and let the Lord's light shine through him. Everyone who knew William knew how much he loved woodworking, cooking, and baking for his family. He was especially famous for his chocolate covered cherries, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and carrot cake that he made for all the big holidays and events he and Stacy hosted, most notably Thanksgiving. William will always be remembered for his humor and the way that he joked around and wanted a reaction out of people. We'll imagine hearing him say "Oh Baby" one more time. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, and grandfather. We will all miss Willie and his presence very much every day. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of all those who loved him. William was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Sandy Conley as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Stacy Conley, children Julia, Jolene, Justine, Chris, and Brian, and 19 grandchildren, whom he loved wholeheartedly. Visitation will be held September 23, 2024 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA 93277. Funeral services will be held September 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 PM at the Visalia Public Cemetery District, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291.
