My mother's love was so unconditional that it is all around us; even now it can be felt embracing our hearts. When a person dedicates their whole life to their husband, children and family, it's hard to understand them. Many would describe my mother as unique or reserved even because her focus on her family was razor sharp. My mother has always been around and was committed to being supportive and dedicated to our goals and dreams. My mother's eyes and smile brought warmth to our hearts while soothing every nerve in our bodies. My mother's calm nature was our anchor in the midst of chaos. My mother was very selfless and did not require or ask for much. She was more concerned that her family had all they needed and desired. I guess you could say we had our own personal Angel on earth all these years, and now she has returned to heaven where one day all will be united once again. Our mother Virginia Gomez was born in Mexico City on August 22nd, 1938. Our mother has six younger siblings. Our mother met our father Rosalio Valdez in Tijuana, Mexico, and became Virginia Gomez Valdez. The two were married 64 years ago and have five children together. Our mother was an easy-going person that had a big heart for people. As children our mother loved to dance with us, it was so much fun. Our mother loved to watch her Romantic Novelas. During that time she would block everyone out. She wouldn't even answer my sister or my calls, to enjoy her alone time. Our mother would say that her grandkids always made her feel special and would make her smile and feel Alive! Our mother loved to have conversations with her children and appreciated being pampered. One of the best memories I have with my mother is when she spent time with me in Florida and walked on the beach and ran her feet through the water. I remember seeing her light up when the sun was beaming on her and she seemed so alive and happy. One ting our mother preached and practiced as a woman is to wear lipstick and earrings as much as possible. She said the lipstick made her feel pretty and the earrings helped her carry the precious memories of all the loved ones that blessed her with the jewelry. Our mother lived a full life that has and continues to impact all of us in so many ways. She has and continues to watch over us and lives in our hearts bringing warmth, love and comfort for eternity. Visitation will be held 3 PM - 4 PM Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow at 4 PM - 6 PM Saturday, October 1st, 2022.
