Teresa Diaz Hernandez

On the morning of November 14, 2020 our beloved and adored queen Teresa Hernandez was called upon by our Lord, to join his kingdom to be next to the man she loved in life. Teresa was born in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo, Jalisco, Mexico on December 28, 1937. Growing up she was full of life and was very energetic. She met the love of her life and the father to her many children in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo. In the early 70s she followed her husband to Castroville, CA to be with him to his very end. During their life time they had 23 children together. After the sad passing of her husband she decided to move to Visalia, CA where she live the rest of her life. Throughout her life, she always made it a point to have and make sure there was harmony within the enormous family. Despite the distance between all family members she always made it a point to call everyone on a daily basis to check in and make sure everything was going well. She did not care if one was at work or if the grandchild she was calling was in school. Everyone knew that if the queen called, everything had to stop and you had to take the call. It was a constant routine throughout her life that she always made these calls. The queen did her job extremely well. She was greatly respected by all. No one ever opposed her word and always did what she recommended without thinking about it twice. Her endless love was unconditional for everyone in her life. She cared deeply for everyone. She was a strong woman and with a lot of courage. She also loved attending Sunday mass and would make sure that everyone else did. Her journey peacefully ended but not until everyone had the chance to pay their respects to the greatest queen ever and say their good-byes. Her great humor and beautiful smile shall forever remain in our minds and our hearts. She may be gone physically but her spirit will forever stay with each and every one of us. Teresa Hernandez has and will forever have our hearts. May she forever rest in peace and enjoy her next life with her husband and our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Teresa Hernandez is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Hernandez and is survived by her 10 children. Javier (Lupe), Luis (RosaElena), Jose de Jesus (Georgina) all from Castroville, Juan (Gloria) from Salinas, Jose Guadalupe, Manuel, Angel (Sylvia), Maria Luz, Rosa (Raul), and Carmen (Oscar) all from Visalia, California. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Salser & Dillard in Visalia, California with Rosary from 6-7pm. Mass will be held at 8:30 am on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church Courtyard, 1908 N. Court St., Visalia. Graveside services will follow immediately after mass and will be held at the Castroville Public Cemetery 8442 Moss Landing Road, Moss Landing, California.
