Stephen Nicholas Bimat, you are loved. Written from your Mother's broken heart. Nick, you were born on February 9th, 1987 and entering this world was with no exception, unexpectedly early, as you have always done, being one step ahead of the game. From infant to toddler, having Big Sister Alisha and welcoming new Baby Brother Cody you always have been a blessing. You started playing T-ball before you entered Conyer Elementary, the beginning of your passion for baseball. So many friends, and especially best friend Justin Taylor. You played City Flag Football, with Doug proudly helping to coach your team. You guys went on to win City Champs. On with this group of friends to Divisadero Middle School and more baseball, school and winning City Champs. High School at Mt. Whitney and four more years of baseball. Then playing City leagues afterward. After high school you began working in the construction industry, starting with a window company, then with American Air as a welder for almost a decade. But you knew Law Enforcement is where you passion lied. You were hired on with the Tulare County Sheriff's Department on December 9th, 2018 and sworn in on December 12th, 2018, that was where you were meant to be. Your work brothers and sisters were also your family. You wanted your career to stay with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. A new level of life you were prepared for, with plans to excel and grow within the department. You strongly believe to do a job and you do it to the best of your ability. You succeeded my son. Your legacy at the Tulare County Sheriff's Office will always carry on. Nick, you have such a passion for life. It was for golfing, baseball ("GO DODGERS"), but hunting, you loved it! Anyone who knew you, knew you were always planning your next trip. Nick, you met Jennifer in 2008, you fell in love. She is the love of your life, your partner, your everything. You would tell me you would never love anyone but Jen. Together you brought Gunner into this world on November 2nd, 2014. Gunner, your "Little Man" is your very best friend. I watched you as a new father fall in love with that "Little Man" with all your heart. You couldn't wait to coach him in baseball. All the plans you and Jen have made for your lives together, you were making big plans for your family. It was always about your family. In a tragic car accident Wednesday, January 13th, 2021, you left us to join Frankie Romero with other family members in heaven. I have no doubt that Jesus and Frankie were waiting to help you cross over. He loves his brother Nick as much as you love him. We don't know how to go on and live without you my son, every heart is broken. God, help us to do this. You leave behind Jennifer, your other half and your love that will last a lifetime. She can't see life without you, she doesn't know how. Gunner your six year old son who idolizes his Daddy, he has your attitude, your way of figuring things out, he is your clone. I can promise Nick, I will always be there for Jen and Gunner, they have this village of our family to always be there for them. I look at Gunner and I see my little boy, the one I am sitting here crying over as I write this. Nick, you leave behind me, your mother, your protector, your confidant, the person who was supposed to be there for you for the rest of my life, not the rest of yours. You leave Doug who loves you. Who is so very proud of the man you are, the man he raised. Your Dad, Steven, who loves you with his whole heart, who can't believe this is real. He knows the plans you had for life and was waiting to watch them happen for you. Your brother, Cody who is beyond lost without his brother, who was moving home and couldn't wait to start golfing with his brother again and raising your families together. Your sisters, Alisha, Kourtney and Brittany, you are so protective of your sisters you would take on the world for them. You joined Alisha at the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, she is so proud of you Nick. She was proud that everyone knew that you were her brother, and she being so protective of you. Your Aunts, Uncles, and all these cousins. They love you and just don't understand. Your Nieces: Sienna, Ari, Colleen, Harper, Sloan and Amelia. Your Nephews: Jacob, Adam, Jose and Logan. They love their Uncle Nick. You leave Odin behind, your precious German Shepard, you trained him and he is such an amazing dog because of you. You left friends, so many friends. People love you my son and will miss that grin and your famous line, "I work to hunt". You are now in heaven with your Granny and Grandpa. I know Granny wants you to fish with her and Grandpa is sharing and swapping out hunting stories with you. Please hug them for me. Your Grandpa Ed and Grandma Betty, you so loved Grandma Betty and no one could make waffles like her. Your cousins Jason and Crystal, waiting with big hugs, and other family members. This isn't goodbye my son, you are in my heart, my thoughts, my prayers and I will tell your son stories about you as a boy and Jen will tell him stories about you as a man. You will forever be remembered and loved by your family and friends Nick. Son, until I can wrap my arms around you again, I will forever miss you. My heart is missing a piece now. Stephen was born to Steven Bimat and Sandy Pearson on February 9, 1987 in Visalia, California. Visitation will be held 3pm - 8:30pm Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 at Presbyterian Church, 200 E. St., Exeter. Funeral services will also be held at the Presbyterian Church, 10am Thursday, January 28th, 2021, with burial to follow at the Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia.
