Sheri Lynn Nederend

Sheri Lynn Nederend was born on November 26, 1965 in Artesia, California. She was the fifth and youngest child of Joe and Elsie Gorzeman. The family moved to Chino, California when she was six years old and that was where she grew up. She attended and graduated from Ontario Christian school in 1983. She met the love of her life, Rex Nederend, when she was 18 years old, and they were married on September 5, 1987. She was a wonderful wife and partner for Rex. They were blessed with four daughters; Amber, Erica, Danielle, and Veronica. In 1997, the family moved to Tipton, California and loved the community that they became part of. They were members of Tulare Community Church and all the daughters attended Central Valley Christian school. Sheri was a loyal member of the Women's Bible Study at church and always involved in her daughters' sports and school activities. Sheri loved being a wife and mom and taking care of her family. Sheri loved her girls and all that came with being a girl-mom, and it was sweet to see how much she enjoyed and became close with her son-in-laws. Her favorite role in recent years was becoming Mimi to her five grandchildren. She loved having her family together which she referred to as having her "ducks in a row", lunch with friends, going to the beach, laughing at her pets, playing games, going for (fast) walks, and shopping for and playing with her grandkids. In addition to her family, Sheri loved her friends well and therefore was a beloved and trusted friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and was intentional in caring for them. Sheri battled breast cancer for 2.5 years. In this time, her faith that the Lord would carry her never wavered. She loved the Lord and thanked Him often for the blessings she was able to enjoy throughout the battle. In the last two weeks of her earthly life, Sheri was able to enjoy meeting her 5th grandchild, Dakota, and the wedding of her youngest daughter, Veronica. Sheri went peacefully home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2021 surrounded by her husband and family. While we rejoice that she is in the glory of God and her body is whole, she is greatly missed here on earth. Sheri is preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Elsie Gorzeman, sister-in-law Karen Gorzeman, mother and father-in-law Hans and Elisabeth Nederend, and brother-in-law David Gyepes. She is survived by her husband, Rex Nederend, and their four daughters and their families; Brit and Amber Baxley; Rob and Erica Diepersloot; Danielle Nederend; and Will and Veronica Schaffer; her grandchildren Reagan, Kennedy, and Dakota Diepersloot; and Finn and Decker Baxley; her siblings Glenn Gorzeman; Charlie and Lynette VanDerKooi; Rick and Lani Gorzeman; Randy and Wilma Gorzeman; Hans and Janene Nederend; Tom Nederend; Willy and Marilyn DeJong; and Shirley Gyepes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 4-6pm, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Tulare Community Church, 1820 North Gem St., Tulare, California. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Tulare Community Church. Graveside service and burial will be at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, California at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sheri's honor to the Reaching Higher Program through Tulare Community Church. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
