In Loving Memory of Seth Varela It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Seth Varela announces his sudden passing on Sunday, October 5th, at the age of 25. Seth will be forever cherished by the love of his life, Yvette Ceballos, and their beloved son, Valentin Vince Varela, whose bright smile will forever carry his father's spirit. He will also be deeply missed by his parents, Mike and Monica Varela, his brother, Michael Varela Jr., and his sister-in-law, Alex Famisaran-Varela, as well as countless family members and friends whose lives were touched by his presence. A lifelong resident of Three Rivers, Seth grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfort of a close-knit community. He attended Three Rivers Union School District, where he spent his days swimming in the rivers, hiking the trails, and making memories with childhood friends who became family. His passion and talent for football carried him through Woodlake High and Mt. Whitney, where his drive and determination shone brightly both on and off the field. In recent years, Seth dedicated himself to hard and meaningful work - serving as a Wildland Firefighter, a seasonal Maintenance Worker at Sequoia National Park, and a landscaper with Daniel's Lawn Service. His strong work ethic, humility, and quiet courage reflected the heart of a man who took pride in caring for the land and people around him. Three Rivers was more than just a home to Seth - it was part of his soul. He found peace in the outdoors, joy in skating, and creativity in his art sketching. Those fortunate enough to know Seth will remember his genuine smile, his easy laugh, and his heart - open, honest, and full of love. He was a devoted son, a loyal partner, a proud father, and a man who lived with purpose and tenderness. Seth's time on earth was far too short, but his love and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though God has called him home, his light continues to shine - watching over his family and guiding them with the same warmth he shared in life. Until we meet again, dear Seth - your love remains our strength, your memory our comfort, and your soul our everlasting Angel. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at St. Anthony's Retreat Center, 43816 Sierra Drive, Three Rivers. Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 at St. Anthony's Retreat Center. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 at Three Rivers Public Cemetery, 41841 Sierra Dr, Three Rivers. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
