Sandra Jane Weddle

Sandra Jane Weddle, 85, of Visalia, California, passed on August 03, 2025, in Visalia, California. Sandra was born to William and Grace Kacy on June 15, 1940, in Pennsylvania. Sandra grew up in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School. Sandra met the love of her life, George Weddle, in high school and even though he was a rival Mount Whitney Pioneer, they developed an un-separable bond. They were soon married and in 1962, they found their perfect home just north of Visalia and lived there until passing. That house was a labor of love for the two of them and they were always willing to host endless team sports parties, birthdays, and even the neighborhood kids for those warm summer days for a swim. Sandra worked for the Visalia Unified School District in the printing department when she met Anna Saldana, who ended up being a special friend. Anna was genuinely like another daughter to our mom, but she was also, and still is, a dear member of the family. As much as our mom was there for Anna during Anna's teen years, Anna was there for Sandra during Sandra's later years. Sandra also worked for Dr Akin as a Vet Tech, but her true passion was to become a nurse. She went to night school to get her degree and worked as a nurse until her back injury prevented her from continuing her passion. Those that knew Sandra knew she "definitely" had a feisty side, as could be corroborated by all the school officials she paid a visit to when one of her kids was having an issue at school. Aside from this though she was the ultimate giver of love for all kids that were part of the neighborhood and school teams that her kids were a part of. George and Sandra hosted several exchange students. Three of those students were Bernardo from Spain, Andrea from Iceland, and Miyuki from Japan. To her, these were her bonus kids for life. The family from Iceland became close friends and had visited Visalia several times as well as George and Sandra traveling to Iceland. George and Sandra loved traveling. They also loved taking friends to Sequioa National Park to see the Giant Redwoods. They loved going on cruises and on one met Lou and Carol, who became lifelong friends from Chicago. Each year they would either be in Chicago or hosting Lou and Carol in Visalia. Ron and Joyce were their lifelong friends from high school. They would travel, go to dances, and even do remodeling together. It is also safe to say that Sandra never met a casino she did not like, likely due to her uncanny ability to hit a royal flush on video poker. Sandra loved her grandchildren Sydney and Katelyn. All that stern parenting went right out the window when those two came along. We would remind her that we did not get away with those things as kids and somehow her amnesia would kick in. Sandra was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years Thomas "George" Weddle. Sandra is survived by her Daughter Marsha Weddle and wife "Sam" Carliell; Son Thomas Weddle Jr.; Two granddaughters Sydney Ramage and husband Koby; Katelyn Weddle; and bonus daughter Anna Saldana. Sandra will always be remembered as the person that sacrificed to be able to do something nice for someone else. She will truly be missed but she is now with husband George, her sweetheart in life.
