Samuel Torres Trevino

On September 7, 2017 Samuel Torres, husband, father, grandfather, uncle passed away suddenly at the age of 77 years. Samuel will be forever remembered by his wife Francisca, daughter Yolanda and precious grandchildren Gabriel and Gianna. Samuel will also be forever remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and dear friends. Samuel fought bravely for nearly 20 years against a weak heart condition. This last year has been hard for him and his family. His motivation to keep fighting to live to be with family and friends til the last heartbeat has been an inspiration. It breaks our hearts that the dreaded moment arrived earlier than we hoped for. Early morning, August 22, 2017 the ER doctor gave us the bad news, those words we never wanted to hear, his life expectancy was 6 months to a year. My dad seemed determined to recover and looked forward to spending a little more time with his family and friends. We believed and confided in him. We, his wife and daughter, were determined and hopeful with the little time we had to do everything possible to please him. His very last wish, to travel to Monterey Nuevo Leon and spend a few days with his close and loving family. As many of you can understand, it has been an unreal and heart breaking moment. On the morning of September 7th, 2017 God decided to put him to rest to be by his side. It's been a confusing and bittersweet feeling for us but with the support of our dear family and friends we will remain strong until he is lay down to rest next to his dear family as he so wished. My mom and I are going to give Dad the best celebration of his life and farewell with the thought in our mind and heart "You Never Said Goodbye". My dad's whole world consisted of his family and a few dear and close friends, new and old. Even though he had shown to be a little grumpy man, he surprised us time and time again the big and warm heart he had within. Doing things and showing compassion for others in their time of need. He was truly a free spirit and inspiring man. We like to invite everyone and anyone who would like to celebrate his life and give their farewell to join us. A Viewing will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 2-6pm at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Avenue, Visalia, California, with the Rosary prayed at 5pm.
