Robert Lawrence Costanzo

Robert "Rocky" Costanzo, born October 21, 1954, passed away in the family home in 2025 in Visalia, California. He was born to Robert and Doris Costanzo and spent his early years in Ventura County before later relocating to Los Angeles County, where he graduated from William S. Hart High School in Newhall. Rocky developed a love for baseball at a young age, playing in Little League, Pony League, then in high school and even adult league, where he was known for his enthusiasm, talent, and dedication. He went on to become a machinist, proudly working for ten years. In his later years, he devoted his time to helping his father with the family farm, a role that allowed him to remain close to his roots and family heritage. Rocky's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. His passion for cars was lifelong-whether he was working on them, rebuilding them, restoring them, or simply admiring the craftsmanship that made each one unique. He loved riding dune buggies, tending to his cherished rose garden, and enjoyed the peaceful moments fishing brought him. He was also a gifted writer who found joy and expression in his poetry. Faith was an important part of Rocky's life. He was a parish member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Porterville, where he deepened his spiritual commitment by making his Confirmation as an adult. He was also a member of the Promise Keepers at St. Anne's and attended St. Mary's in Visalia. One of the promises closest to his heart was the one he made to his Aunt Mary-to care for her daughter and his cousin, Catherine, after Aunt Mary's passing. He honored that promise with devotion. Rocky is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Costanzo; his aunt, Mary Boccone; and his cousin, Catherine Boccone. He is survived by his son, Jason Frank (Jen); grandchildren JR, Mason, Casey, and Jasmine; aunts Carla Bianco, Roberta "Bobbi" George (Russ), and Diana Brown; and his nieces and nephews Brian Glickman (Sara), Timothy Glickman (Christy), Cynthia Glickman, Michael Brown (Melinda), Katherine "Dawny" Stacky-Russell, and Brent Costanzo. Rocky will be remembered for his kind heart, strong faith, and the many passions that filled his life with purpose. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the loved ones he leaves behind. Memorial services will be held 10:21am Monday, December 8th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
