Richard Lee Louderback

Richard Louderback was welcomed into his eternal home in Heaven on June 14, 2024. He left us unexpectedly as a result of a traffic accident. He was known as Richard or Rick by many, but he was "Pop" by those who loved him most. Rick was born on May 29th, 1941 in Santa Ana California. He lived the majority of his life in California, his younger years in Ventura where he met his loving wife Doris. Like his father Ethan, Rick enjoyed a very successful career with the Union Oil company, retiring from the company as COE in 1998. Rick and Doris greatly enjoyed their retirement years and loved to travel, having sailed on 33 cruises and enjoying multiple other trips through the years. Rick loved to golf and enjoyed just about anything, but really loved hot rods and NHRA Drag racing. Rick had too many cars to list but was most attached to his beautiful '26 Tee that he and Doris would exhibit often. He was passionate about the drags and loved sharing this passion with his son Ron. Pop recently moved to a wonderful assisted living facility where he made fast friends with wonderful people and was truly enjoying life at his All-Inclusive "Cruise Ship" of a new home. He never complained, was never a burden, always smiled, and never seemed to have a bad day. There are not words to describe the joy that pop brought to our lives. He was wonderfully hilarious, extremely organized, and genuinely kind. He loved and appreciated his family so much and the joy he brought to our lives cannot be measured. Pop was secure in his faith and left us knowing without a doubt where he would spend eternity. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his son Ron, and brother Kenny. He is survived by his twin sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jim McClure, daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Don Goforth, daughter-in-law, Barbara Louderback, son Jeff Fisher and family, grand children Danny Goforth, Jessica and Stephen Herr, Jennifer and Stephen Bruno, Jake and Brianna Goforth, Tyler Louderback, Ryan Louderback, great grandchildren Elin and Wesley Herr, and Finn Goforth. Private family service to be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
